PAULA DEEN OPINION

Ok. I am about fed up with all the feeds, newscasts, blogs, etc about Paula Deen. I am thankful however that in Simi Valley, we have zero bigoted people. We have people that have never, repeat NEVER used an n-word, told a religious joke, demeaned Japanese, Mexicans, Jews, Christians, women, gays, trans gendered citizens, etc. Do you perceive sarcasm? Good! Like I said all of us, yep ALL of us, at one time or another have done what she is getting slammed for. Maybe it was done at a party when we were younger, maybe in school in sports, maybe in church or temple. Somewhere, Sometime, EVERY ONE OF US HAS DONE WHAT PAULA DEEN DID! And remember that a lot of us weren't raised in the south where it was a daily part of vocabulary. Or, in many cities, neighborhoods and the like, a black skinned person using the n-word as a different form of speech. My God! Look at Richard Pryor, Chris Brown, etc.  Look at Mel Gibsons rant against jews when he was drunk. The actor on Seinfeld Michael Richards, that went off on a bad comedy routine against homosexuals. Like I said, MOST people resist showing a deep seated thing like that. We control it, bury it, etc. But how many of us laugh when a colleague tells an off color story? We may turn away, but do we laugh inside? Here is my point.........Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone. In other words, shut up and continue your life. Leave your opinions on this particular issue to yourself. It will be better for you and all of us.  THE CARTOON WAS DONE ABOUT 50 YEARS AGO. THINK ABOUT IT.
