Cemetery board

The best we can come up with is that the cemetery board is really screwed up and has been for at least 20 years. They illegally elected officers, posted an agenda that had a missing time to start meeting line so the Chair (Wayne Evans) cancelled the meeting. The Vice Chair, Cynthis Pandolfi decided to have the meeting anyway but quickly cancelled it when a lack of quorum showed up and a reporter did show up. 

Things continued to get more interesting. According to the paper, Evans had some personal stuff going on and couldn't attend one November meeting. Pandolfi took charge but posted an agenda with out a section for the public to speak, address the board. She was informed of this, but chose to go ahead anyway. She changed the agenda at the start of the meeting, but a reporter told her she couldn't do that and the meeting was cancelled.

Evans resigns from the board for personal reasons. Another new board member Leah, the secretary, resigns also. So now we have a former chair running the show and just Pandolfi as a member. But wait, it gets interesting. According to the paper, a new member was introduced. Jack who own Palmero's Italian restaurant on Tapo st. So ny our counting, there are only 3 members of the board.

Anyway........A County Attorney addressed the board, presented a cease and desist order for the violations of the Brown Act and then gave them a lesson on how to legally conduct a meeting. Wow!   It will be interesting to see Simi Valley in the news again, but we are all hoping for positive things not what's happening on this board. Maybe they will get around to discussing how much money they owe the city from a loan about 10 years ago. Just wondering.
