Candidate under ethics probe
Where's the story?

Ethics probe again?
So it’s reported in the news that Barbra Williamson, former City Councilmember for Simi Valley, is going to run again after 20 years of being in service. She has been accused in the past of accepting too much money from a donor and was found guilty with a fine. She stated she did nothing wrong and it was a clerical error, yet she accepted the donation(s) in person.
Now she is being looked at by the election ethics panel because a few citizens complained that her website advertising and the signs she may have ordered for yards and fences say “Reelect Barbra Williamson.” That is in direct conflict with the law and ethics procedures. She said she has done nothing wrong.
I remember when she made a fuss because the man who beat her in the election stated in his literature he was a retired fire chief. She didn’t like that and he had to change it to retired firefighter, I believe.
I think I am seeing a pattern here. Do as I say, but not as I do? Is she above the law on these infractions? You decide in November. I choose to vote for someone other than a lifetime politician seeking another shot at a legacy.
