It’s about time for term limits

It was with a great deal of surprise and happiness that I read the article concerning term limits for the school board.

Finally, a chance for more talented citizens to fight the good ol’ boys that stay in office through backdoor deals, coercion and downright personal attacks on anyone who disagrees with their power.

Finally, the good people of Simi Valley will be able to topple the members that have caused the schools to fail so miserably for the last 20 years.

Finally the school board and the new superintendent will be able to curtail the improper way the budget has been used for the last 20 years and focus on the needs of the children and not facades of buildings, exorbitant salaries and perks to the former superintendent, etc.

Maybe it’s not too late to prevent the state from taking over the Simi Valley school system. I care deeply for Simi Valley even though I moved to Florida for health reasons. I am so very proud of this latest news.
